Staying Safe at Middletons

Here at Middletons, the safety of our customers is our top priority.

As cases of COVID-19 increase, we want to share the details of what we are doing in our stores to help keep all our shoppers, staff and suppliers safe during this time.

In light of the current situation, we’re carefully following the advice from health authorities. While the risk to any single individual remains relatively low, we are taking precautions, many of which we already do as a matter of course.

Hand Washing

As you are probably aware, one of the easiest and most effective ways of staying safe is regular hand-washing. All our staff have received training on how to correctly wash their hands, and each staff member is ensuring that they are washing their hands regularly: every time they enter the showroom, after seeing each customer, and after any new person arrives in the showroom.

We are also encouraging every person who enters one of our showrooms to wash their hands too, and we are providing hand sanitiser to make this as easy as possible. We understand that it is our duty to take control and demonstrate our commitment to proper hand washing.

Cleaning Equipment

Our staff have been trained in how to properly clean down equipment. Whether it's scooter handlebars, chair knuckles or remote controls, our staff are ensuring everything is safely sterilised and ship shape. Our customers can rest assured that every product they try out will have been thoroughly cleaned, and we will be more than happy to re-clean handles and other surfaces if asked.

Keeping Surfaces Clean

We are also ensuring that all other surfaces in the showroom are clean too. This includes desks, door handles, tables, tiles and so on. An important way of not spreading coronavirus is keeping surfaces sterile, and while this is part of our regular routine, we aren't skipping a beat. We are enormously proud of all our showrooms and indend to keep them safe and welcoming.

Responsible Staffing

In accordance with government guidelines, any member of staff who shows symptoms of coronavirus will be sent home to self isolate. We take the health and wellbeing of all our staff and customers incredibly seriously, and will take every possible step to ensure everyone stays safe. Please remember, if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please self isolate:

  • a new and persistent cough
  • a fever

Please rest assured that everyone at Middletons is working tirelessly to ensure we continue to provide you with the level of service and quality you'd expect from us during these challenging times.
