Middletons is proud to be working in partnership with The Salvation Army.

Making a Difference Together

The Salvation Army have been transforming lives for over 150 years through its charitable action by working at the heart of communities across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. With over 750 community churches and social centres, they offer friendship, practical help, and support to some of the most disadvantaged people in our communities. At Middletons, we share many of the same values as The Salvation Army and want to give back to the community whenever possible.

Trade in Your Old Furniture and Help Support The Salvation Army

Are you thinking of purchasing Middletons chair or bed but wondering what you would do with your old furniture? Having large items removed from your home can be time-consuming and expensive.

Luckily, we offer a solution that will:

  • take the worry out of having to arrange furniture removal.
  • contribute towards the fundraising efforts of The Salvation Army.

Here's how it works: When we deliver your brand new chair or bed, we’ll collect your furniture at the same time. Doing the delivery and collection in one visit saves you time and hassle. Once your furniture has been collected and returned to our depot, we’ll check it over. If it’s reusable, we’ll donate it to The Salvation Army. They will then sell it in one of their many shops throughout the UK and use the proceeds to fund their charitable work.

How Your Furniture Could Help

  • £5 could provide a welcome pack for a homeless person in one of our residential centres
  • £25 could pay the cost of running a weekly parent-and-toddler group
  • 91p of every £1 your giving transforms lives in the communities where we work
  • 6280 older people provided with meals and friendship at luncheon clubs in 270 communities
